Wolf, lynx and brown bear habitat tour Print

Come with us and discover the wolf, lynx and bear habitats in Alutaguse, the largest forested area in Estonia, situated in the northeast of the country, close to the Russian border. Estonia plays host to about 600 bears, 200 wolves, 800 lynx and 12 000 elks, and Alutaguse is the central location for them all.

Our minibus will make stop to let us easily find claw marks on trees, slots and droppings, tracks and marks of these spectacular predators. Our experienced guide will provide details of their habits and habitats. If we're very lucky, we'll see some!

When darkness falls, we'll drive again, stopping to listen for the voices of the big carnivores. With good luck we will be able to make contact with the animals; with very good luck, they might come closer to investigate the situation.
